Sindhudurg Zilla Krishi Pratishthan in collaboration with the college has brought awareness in dairy farming by bringing different breeds like Giri& Local Deshi & Geometry farming in the Konkan region. Gir cow: The Gir Cow is originally from India. It has been locally in the improvement of other breeds like the Red Sindhi and the Sahiwal. Gir cow is a native of gir bills and forest of kathiwar. C.S. College of Agriculture , oros is having one cow shed. This involves total 06 number of “Gir” cows. They are all pure breed cows.
